The 805405-1 Field Power module is designed to bring the DC motors within the AutoMax series the means for adjustable-voltage, current-regulated field excitation processes. To do this, the 805405-1 Field Power module is used along with a three-phase Armature Power module that are both connected to the same PMI rack. The 805405-1 Field Power module’s SCR power bridge is designed to be operated using the AutoMax Programming Executive software.

The 805405-1 Field Power module has a power rating of 15 Output Amps and an AC Input Voltage range of 120 to 460 VAC with a non-reversing bridge type. In addition to that, the 805405-1 Field Power module has an electrically isolated power cube, which has its own dv/dt protection, and internal AC line fuses. There is also a self-firing clamp which is used for providing protection against the event of an inductive voltage kick that results from current interruption. The 805405-1 Field Power module’s rectifier consists of a total of four SCRs, all of which are configured for used in a full-wave bridge. An isolation transformer is an optional component component for this module.
