Model number G310S000 is just one of the 10.4” VGA Display and Touchscreen Interfaces produced by Red Lion; this model is superior to other G310 models as it has a UV-rated overlay, making it easier to read when used outside. Different backlight types are associated with the operator interfaces; this model has an LED backlight with a standard lifetime of 50,000 hours when operating at the correct temperature, ranging from thirty-two to one hundred twenty-two degrees Fahrenheit. The lifetime can be extended when the light is dimmed in lower light conditions. 

Along with the touch screen available on the front panel of this operator interface terminal, there are three LEDs. These LEDs indicate the status of the device with green, red, or yellow lights, red LED also known as the power LED will either flash or remain steady depending on which function is being performed; when the LED is steady, it indicates the model has received power and is running an application. 

The battery on the G310S000 model is located within the back cover of this unit. The battery is a lithium coin cell that can be replaced by the user by removing the power, rear cover, and the associated cables. To replace the old battery, remove it and replace it with the new battery; make sure that after removing the battery, it has been disposed of properly.

When using this device, Crimson software from Red Lion is required; the Crimson software needed to run the G310S000 model is Crimson 2.0 software. It can run on personal computers with several specifications such as an RS232 or USB port to aid in downloading to a G3 panel, an additional fifty megabytes of disk space for software installation, and a Pentium class processor required for the chosen operating system.
