About the GMP1SM00
Graphite PID Module GMP1SM00 is part of the Graphite HMI Expansion Module Series. This module operates as a single PID loop and has an optional DC analog output. One key feature of this module is its ability to perform effectively any combination of linear or time-proportioning control for heat/cool, heat, or cool applications. The linear output for this module will be assigned to transmit practically any internal variable. When the device has been programmed it will be able to operate independently as long as power is still being applied.
As mentioned previously the GMP1SM00 module is equipped with an optional DC analog output. The output will operate on twenty milliamperes or ten volts and be scaled for re-transmission and/or control purposes as well as independently configured. This module also has a heater current monitor option. The primary purpose of this option is to warn the system of potential heater circuit failure or give an early indication of heater degradation.
As with many of the other modules with the Graphite HMI Expansion Module Series the GMP1SM00 module will be used with Crimson software. This specific module is configured with Windows-compatible Crimson software and allows for routine module re-calibration as well as the commissioning of new systems.
One important thing to note regarding the GMP1SM00 controller is that it can operate in several different modes, some of which are PID, P, PI, or On/Off control mode. The module can also be used with an on-demand Auto-Tune to establish a tuning constant. All of the above information and more can be found in the Red Lion GMPID-K Bulletin.
