About the GMPBDP00

The Red Lion controller GMPBDP00 is part of the Graphite HMI Expansion Module Series. As labeled in the Graphite HMI Brochure this controller is a Profibus DP Communication Module. This device can be used with Crimson software. The Crimson software allows for many functions to occur, some of which are protocol conversion, data logging, remote access, and web serving. The Crimson software can also be used to extend the HMI capabilities of this device. 

As the GMPBDP00 controller is part of the Graphite Expansion Modules it can be used with a USB cable allowing for connection to the Graphite HMI expansion rack. This model can also be used in high-vibration and shock-tolerant applications. 

There are a multitude of features that allow for the prime operation of the GMPBDP00 controller which includes the approvals in which the device can be used, the wide operating temperature range, the ability to convert protocols simultaneously, and the ability to send either email or SMS text messages to alert the user of alarm conditions.
