About the GRAC0001

Model number GRAC0001 is part of the Graphite HMI Expansion Modules produced by Red Lion. This specific model is labeled as a Graphite Edge Controller and has the capability for Protocol Conversion as well as plug-in I/O. With the protocol conversion features within this controller up to thirteen protocols are allowed, these conversions will occur simultaneously. This controller has serial communication ports, all of which are fully isolated, two of the ports are RS422/485 with the remaining port being an RS232 port. A key feature regarding the mounting of the controller is that it can be mounted in a panel and din-rail configuration. 

The primary usage of this controller is to monitor, control, and remotely connect to equipment within other process applications. The GRAC0001 controller requires Crimson 3 software which has an embedded control engine labeled as IEC1131 which can be configured through structured text, ladder, function block, and instruction list. This controller is also specifically optimized for multi-vendor environments and can have protocol conversion with virtual operator interfacing and data logging. 

As mentioned above the GRAC0001 controller features Crimson software, this software allows for sole Crimson Control functionality which does not require additional modules or equipment. When the software is also configured it allows for data logging to occur within minutes. 

The Ethernet connectors of the GRAC0001 feature two LEDs, a green LED which is in the upper left corner, and a yellow LED in the upper right corner. Each LED will have different descriptions based on how they are performing.
