About the 8272-610
AX Control Inc is a supplier of reconditioned secondhand inventory. The 8272-610 from the Woodward inc model controls load sharing and speed of generators driven by steam/gas turbines and diesel/gasoline engines. The unit offers remote input from automatic equipment, failed speed signal override, speed trim, droop control, auxiliary input for use by a temperature sensor, and idle and rated speeds. Excluding circuity to allow for installation, the controls used are interchangeable with those used on single controls. The use of a load sharing speed control 8272-610 allows automatic generator loading, isochronous load sharing, and automatic synchronizing.
If or when using a battery for operating power an alternator or other device is necessary to maintain a secure voltage. In order to power the unit, connect the negative to terminal 15, and the positive to terminal 16; if it is a battery-powered system, then an alternator must be included.
With the turbines and engines operating steadily and the external speed trim set at a mid-position, unit 8272-610 will adjust the rated speed to bring the turbines and engines to the desired operating speed. To monitor actuator voltage attach a DC analog voltmeter to terminals twenty (+) and twenty-one (-).
