About the 9900-430
The Woodward S2301A series 9900-430 controller is used for the installation of speed and load sharing controls. If or when connecting two controls together such as a 9900-430 and 9900-431 to a single actuator it does not discard any of the features within the control. The controls each offer their own set of inputs that help maintain the system. The 9900-430 control is offered in both a high voltage and low voltage system model.
A deceleration ramp is offered with the control; when present the time between the ramp and rated speed and idle speed is 20 seconds, if the option is not present the process occurs instantaneously. The 9900-430 control is available in forward or reverse acting applications and can be used with single or tandem actuators; reverse acting systems call for more fuel when the voltage decreases.
To connect the transformers is to use the open delta connection, as well as putting phase a to terminal one, phase b to terminal two, and phase c to terminal three. If the control reaches a failed speed signal you can override the signal in a few ways, one is through the open contact which when the speed signal fails turns off the control output.
The rated speed of the control is 11,450 Hz, with actuator compensation containing time constant compatibility of 0-500 ms. The 4-pole mini switch sets the speed range which is calculated by the MPU; speeds are correlated with the MPU frequency and proportional to the rpm. When powering the mini-switch only use the switch which matches the control to the MPU frequency needed. If needed AX Control inc is well equipped to repair and resell this tool.
