About the 9905-027
Model 9905-027 from the Woodward 2301A Load Sharing and Speed Control (LSSC) series is another low-voltage model with an individual actuator system; it is a reverse-acting system with an actuator current of 0-20 mA. When connecting the control actuator wires, be sure they are connected to the positive terminal twenty and the negative terminal twenty-one; the shielded wires must be connected by the shield to terminal twenty-two. Under no circumstances should the actuator and shield be connected at the installation of the actuator wires or any other point.
When unpacking the control and before installation, be sure to check that the module has no damage; after installation of the 9905-027 model, check the speed sensor to make sure that there is no visible damage; check the link between the actuator and prime mover there should be no looseness between the two. Terminal sixteen on a low voltage model provides a positive dc source for terminals fourteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, and thirty.
If while using the 9905-027 unit, the droop potentiometer needs to be adjusted, open the contact connected to terminal fourteen and slowly adjust the potentiometer to give the speed that is desired. If there is an error about the prime mover overspeeding after operating it at a rated speed, check the prime mover, and make sure that the prime mover’s fuel is operating properly.
The 905-027 module can be used in a variety of environments, one of them being a harsh environment, as it has a metal chassis rated for radio frequency interference, electromagnetic interference, dust, humidity, and vibration conditions. For more information on the environmental conditions and their specifications, refer to the 82390 Woodward Bulletin.
