About the 9905-028
AX Control inc buys, sells, repairs, and refurbishes the 9905-028 model from Woodward INCs 2301A series of Load Sharing and Speed controls. This specific model is a forward-acting 20-40 Vdc model, the control is also an individual actuator model with a current of 0-200 mA. If while connecting the model you are using a speed trim potentiometer verify that is connected using shielded wire, if the shielded wire is not used it can cause damage to the control and severely impede the performance of the control.
Prior to starting the prime mover assess the speed sensor, if the speed sensor has failed and needs to be cleared put the control speed at five percent lower. If for any reason an external device needs to be attached to the control the terminal block for wiring the system and control are located at the lower portion of the front panel.
When attempting to start the prime mover and it does not start it is possible that there is no actuator voltage located at terminals twenty and twenty-one, to fix this error check that the actuator has not been shortened or grounded by removing the wires from the proper terminals before terminating the power on the prime mover, close the terminal eighteen switch and shorten the twenty-third and twenty-fourth terminals; check the voltage from terminals eighteen to twenty-two. Assess terminals twenty-eight and twenty-nine for at least 1 Vrm and that the minimum rated speed at less than five percent.
