About the 9905-031
General Information
The 9905-031 is a reverse-acting, high voltage model load sharing and speed control from Woodward's 2301A series. This model is meant to control generator speed and load sharing of generators which are driven by prime movers such as diesel engines, gasoline engines, gas turbines, or steam turbines. The 9905-031 has a single actuator that has a 0-200 mA current. This model does not have a deceleration ramp.
Control Specifications
The speed sensor of the 9905-031 uses a magnetic pickup that uses a range of 0-30VAC power. This sensor has an input impedance of 100-300 ohms. The speed setting may be trimmed externally between 0-10% via a 100 ohm potentiometer. This potentiometer is internally adjustable. The actuator is rated a maximum of 7.5VDC for 0-214mA with a 35 ohm coil.
Power/Environmental Specifications
The nominal power consumption level of the 9905-031 is a maximum of 15W. The load sharing voltage is 0-6VDC. The chassis of this model is made of sheet metal and finished with a gloss powder. Inside is a single PCB. The operational temperature of the air surrounding this unit should be in a range between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. This unit can absorb up to 60 Gs of shock.
