About the 9905-132
The 9905-132 unit is a 2301A Electronic Load Sharing and Speed control available in low-voltage or high-voltage models manufactured by Woodward. This model was designed as a standard speed control. The two voltage models are typically powered by a power source of 90-150 Vdc or 85-132 Vac for high voltage and 20-40 Vdc for low voltage models depending on the module type the 9905-132 is being used. The power leads are connected from the power source to the control through the fifteenth terminal, negative, and the sixteenth terminal, positive. The leads must be connected through corresponding positive and negative leads to the matching terminal on the 9905-132. Power supplies 10-40 Vdc should strictly be dedicated to the governors.
The temporary burden terminal block for current transformer correction must be connected by terminals four through nine; if this resister is not used, the engine requires that it is shut down, and the load must also be removed.
Speed trim is offered on the 9905-132 control depending on the installation, whether it is split shaft or tail shaft; on split shaft installations, the speed trim potentiometer will only need to be turned on the tail shaft governor; the trim may also be installed on the engine governor if wanted and run fully clockwise for standard operation.
The 9905-132 unit can be used with a load sensor. When the unit is used with a load sensor, the system shares the collected load with other generators in the system, so long as it is used in parallel with two or more systems. When the 9905-132 is used for its intended purpose, it will maintain and monitor the prime mover's speed to ensure it is used on the set operating level.
