About the 9907-236
The 9907-236 is the Woodward Load Sharing and Speed Control or LSSC for short. It is capable of maintaining and processing Gas Turbines and Engine/Torque conversions. It comes equipped with a Magnetic Pickup. This connects the dual-speed control system, in doing so it makes sure that the actuator takes a positive position to ensure maximum fuel efficiency. The speed of the engine/ gas generation is maintained so that the rated speed limit is not passed. All the above-mentioned tasks would be poorly completed if there was a single control system being used, instead of a dual system control unit. Which resides in the 9907-236.
9907-236 Hardware Inclusions
Some other things to note for the LSSC is that it operates between temperatures of - 40 to 85 C, or -40 to 185 F. In addition it also has a Low idle speed of 55% rated, and its Droop is 0-10%. There are other specifications that enable the 9907-236 to perform its job. The LSSC also comes with a four-pole mini-switch that allows it to dictate the controlling speeds that are picked up by the MPU frequency. Internally there is also a vast assortment of auxiliary features. This allows power generation to be applied to the gas turbines which are normally restricted.
