These units are designed to operate a wide range of steam turbines and other similar models of industrial devices.
The 9907-171 is a flexible device in the Woodward 505 series, able to operate with steam turbines, as well as industrial utility turbogenerators and expander modules. The 9907-171 includes a 32-bit microprocessor that keeps the control capabilities functional and running smoothly.
In order for the 9907-171 unit to be configured, the operator has to input the specifications into the operator control panel, which has a two-line, 24-character display, and a series of 30 keys. This unit is also able to perform as a first-time indicator for any system shutdowns, which in turn reduces the troubleshooting time.
The 9907-171 can be equipped with an airtight, watertight protective frame. This protective enclosure is rated with a NEMA 4X grade, and keeps the internal components safe from any invasive material such as dust or any other corrosive materials.
