About the 9907-032
9907-032 is a high-voltage Woodward 723 model. The control’s input power is rated for 90 to 150 Vdc (125 Vdc nominal) with 40 W nominal power consumption. High voltage models such as this one can handle an inrush current of 22 A for 15 ms. This particular 723 model is available in three other versions: low-voltage (model 9907-031), and low- and high-voltage with a torsional filter (models 9907-033 and 9907-034). Aside from the voltage difference and torsional filter, these four models are identical.
Woodward 723 model 9907-032 is Digital Synchronizer and Load Control (DSLC) compatible. This controller, with a DSLC unit and up to two MPUs or proximity switches, controls the load and speed of reciprocating engines in generator set service. 723 controls provide many opportunities for customization to fit the specific needs of each application. Model 9907-032 offers many configurable parameters, which are outlined in the Woodward product manuals found within the "Manuals" Tab.
The 9907-032 has two LON channels. One of these can be used to monitor parameters by tapping into the DSLC unit, while the other can be used to monitor functions via Woodward LinkNet input/output nodes. Engine and control parameters can be monitored via a Modbus master device, which can be interfaced using the control’s serial channels. Woodward 723 Digital Speed Control units provide insight into the integrity of the control with integrated diagnostics. These self-diagnostic tests include monitoring baseline power supply, memories, and processors.
