About the 9907-247
Part 9907-247 is the low-voltage model of Woodward 828 Digital Control hardware. It can be used with gas, diesel, or dual-fuel engines. The customizable design of the Woodward 828 controls allows the system to better suit the needs of specialized functions in a range of marine, process, engine, and plant applications. Part 9907-247 can be used for applications requiring two proximity switches or magnetic pickups (MPUs).
828 model 9907-247 can be set up for use in load-sharing systems. If generator load management is required, the control supports connection to a Digital Synchronizer and Load Control (DSLC). This control can also be set up with a Power Output Sensor and Real Power Sensor, allowing for droop operation in mechanical load applications, as well as droop-parallel generator applications.
Woodward 828 Digital Controls has a few communication options.
- RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 communications via two separate serial interfaces featuring standard ASCII character handling or an industry-standard Modbus protocol (ASCII or RTU)
- Local Operating Network (LON) protocol for digital communications
- Expanded I/O ports via LinkNet nodes (analog and discrete I/O, thermocouple, RTD)
The 828 9907-247 control set points are adjusted using an option handheld programmer or the standard PC interface, both of which are menu-based. Set points are stored in the control’s permanent memory. Woodward 828 Digital Control Hardware Manual 02875 has details on the configurable set points of the 9907-247 control.
