About the 9905-355
The Woodward DSLC series modules are a part of the lineup of devices built for AC generator control and synchronization. These units were all developed and produced by Woodward Inc. This unit in particular is designated as the 9905-355 unit of the Woodward DSLCs.
The standard functionalities that the DSLC units provide include a selectable function of either phase matching, slip frequency synchronization, voltage matching, and automatic dead bus closure. The automatic generator loading and unloading aid in bumpless load transfer. There are three different control capabilities; droop, baseload, and isochronous load. These units are able to process control for cogeneration, import and export, and pressure control, among others for the AC generator it is installed.
The 9905-355 module is outfitted with several multi-function, completely adjustable high and low limit alarms, and a load switch with relay driver output terminals. The digital communications network is able to provide the ability to share multiple functions between units, such as load sharing, VAR/PF sharing, and data exchange.
The operational specifications of the 9905-355 unit include a temperature range that ranges between extremes. The coldest that the module can is -40 degrees C, and it can withstand a heat threshold of up to 70 degrees C. The excess water vapor from humidity can cause corrosion to occur within elements of the unit, and this model is outfitted to handle up to 95% relative humidity.
