About the 9905-361
9905-361 is a microprocessor-based control designed for paralleling, synchronizing, loading, and unloading three-phase generator sets when used with a Woodward speed control and an automatic voltage regulator. Up-to-date information on the compatibility of old DSLC part numbers or on the data format of the network variables may be found through the Woodward Technical Assistance Group. Repairs of parts 9905-361 are still available through AX Control. This control is rated for operating temps from –40 to +70 °C (-40 to 158 F) and storage temps from –55 to +105 °C (-67 to 221 F).
With the 9905-361 DSLC control, the internal digital base load reference may be raised or lowered through switch inputs. Remote load setting is also possible via a 4–20 mA (or 1–5 Vdc) analog input. When the operating mode is changed, load and unload ramps ensure a smooth transition.
A few of the additional load control features of the 9905-361 DSLC control include:
- A frequency trimmer function for accurate frequency control in isochronous load sharing systems
- Simple load droop operation provides safe operation in parallel bus applications
- Adjustable load switch output with independent pick-up and drop-out points
- Load raise and lower inputs to adjust speed before synchronizing
- Voltage raise and lower inputs to adjust voltage before synchronizing
When working with or near the control certain precautions to protect against static damage should be followed, for example: touching and holding a grounded metal object (pipes, cabinets, equipment, etc.) to discharge the static electricity on your body to the ground before doing maintenance on the DSLC, wearing natural fiber clothing while performing maintenance on the control, and keeping plastic, vinyl, and Styrofoam materials away from the control, the modules, and the work area as much as possible.
Additional product information on the Woodward 9905-361 DSLC control, as well as a more comprehensive list of safety and damage precautions, may be found online in the Woodward DSLC Digital Synchronizer and Load Control Manual 02007.
