About the 9905-795
This unit is one of the several models of the Woodward Inc. DSLC series, or digital synchronizer and load control series. These models are a series of control modules for alternating current, three-phase, industrial generators. This unit is designated as the 9905-288 model and is regarded as an obsolete unit in the DSLC line.
The 9905-288 unit is designed as a multifunctional device, able to control several aspects and features within the industrial generator it is attached to. Within this unit, there is a control sensor, a load control module, and a synchronizer. It is able to provide operators with the option of choosing either automatic synchronizing of slip frequencies or phase matching.
The control sensor of this unit is able to locate and detect true RMS power levels within the generator and provides bumpless loading/unloading capabilities. The loading can either be done with a base amount or have individual features like import/export and processing.
The 9905-288 unit is similar in design to a more advanced model in the series, the 9905-795. The prime difference between these units is the features that the other doesn’t have. The 9905-288 module is not outfitted with any dead bus closure capabilities. Over the Local Operating Network, the data is formatted differently as well. This unit sends one message for each of the variables sent onto the network, whereas the more advanced model sends one message for up to 7 variables.
The 9905-288 module is available from AX Control Inc.’s inventory of both new surplus and reconditioned, used industrial equipment.
