About the 9905-797
This unit is designated as the 9905-797 model of the Woodward DSLC (Digital Synchronizer and Load Control) units. This unit was designed as an advanced replacement for an obsolete model in this series, the 9905-361. They can both be used to reverse engineer any issues in the other. The 9905-797 model has the capability to handle dead bus closure.
The DSLC modules overall are built with a microprocessor-based design and functionality. These units are meant to be installed as control units of compatible, three-phase, AC Generators. These devices are multifunctional, designed to also provide the operator with the option of either phase matching or slip frequency automatic synchronizing. On top of the basic control functionality, this unit is able to handle a VAR/PF and process control. This convenient, ultra-compact device reduces both the amount of space needed for installation and the amount of wiring required to power and connect the unit.
The 9905-797 model is outfitted with sensors to detect and monitor RMS power and offers bumpless loading/unloading functions. There are two options for operators to configure the unit to baseload, or to set power levels for importing/exporting and processing. It utilizes its own LON (local operating network) to accurately distribute loads on multi-engine, isolated setups.
The standard Woodward specifications apply to this model. The operational temperature range is from -40 C (-40 F) to 70 C (158 F), while the storage range is even more intense, from -55 -105 C (-67 - 221 F).
In order to power this unit, a continuous intake is needed, ranging from 8 to 32 V/DC.
