About the 9905-799
This unit of the Woodward Inc. line of generator control units is designated as the 9905-799. It is outfitted with several of the more advanced Woodward features within the series, as well as given its own unique specifications. This series is known as the Digital Synchronizer and Load Control, or DSLC units. They are primarily designed for load control and distribution but are outfitted with the capability to handle process control.
The 9905-799 was designed as a replacement model for an older, now obsolete unit in the DSLC line, the 9905-895 (also available for purchase from us). Despite one being a more advanced unit, it is possible to reverse engineer either unit for a part that needs to be fixed.
The 9905-799 unit comes with the standard Woodward DSLC operating modes; Isolated Bus mode, which takes control over the unit’s Local Operating Network, and shares real and reactive loads proportionally. The Utility Parallel mode measures the real load of the generator and accurately adjusts the speed control to match.
The standard Woodward specifications apply to this model. The 9905-799 unit is powered up by an operational voltage ranging from 8 to 32 volts of direct current. The frequency input ranges from 45 to 66 hertz, and the current is 0 to 5 A rms.
The 9905-799 is designed as a UL and cUL compliant device.
