About the 9905-895
Part 9905-895 is a microprocessor-based Digital Synchronizer and Load Control manufactured by Woodward. In March 1995, Woodward replaced this model with the 9905-799, making the 9905-895 obsolete. Part numbers 9905-895 will still function properly with the new DSLC part numbers in all functions except dead bus closing. More information on the compatibility of old DSLC part numbers or on the data format of the network variables may be found online in Woodward Service Bulletin 01098. Repairs of parts 9905-895 are still available through AX Control.
Use Woodward DSLC model 9905-895 for the paralleling, synchronizing, loading, and unloading of three-phase AC generator sets. This model is designed for use with a Woodward speed control and an automatic voltage regulator.
Built-in diagnostics; automatic generator loading and unloading; setup, metering, and diagnostic capability through a handheld programmer terminal; droop, baseload, and isochronous load control capability; and reverse power relay are just a few of the available functions.
This device has a WYE PT Configuration, a 500 Hz PWM Speed Bias, and a 120/240 Vac Input Voltage. It is rated for use in operating temps from –40 to +70 °C (-40 to 158 F) and storage temps from –55 to +105 °C (-67 to 221 F). Additional environmental specifications for the 9905-895 are:
- Humidity: 95% at 38 °C
- Mechanical shock: US MIL-STD 810C, Method 516.2, Procedures I, II, V
- Electromagnetic susceptibility: ANSI/IEEE C37.90.2; ANSI C37.90.1-1989
- Vibration: US MIL-STD 167, Type I
Precautions to protect against static damage should be followed when working with or near this device.
