The control model 8440-2253 made by Woodward INC is from the easYgen-1000 series, this series is available at AX Control inc. It also has an alternate part number known as easYgen-1600, as its alternate part number control model 8440-2253 means that other available connections include a speed input, J1939 for engine ECU, a USB service port, and an RS485 port for the model. 

For the temperature input of the control, the resistance should be between zero and five-hundred Ohm, if the temperature input has a value of sixteen and five hundred and twelve the resistance should read as eighty Ohm. 

When the emergency mode on the control is terminated and terminal six of the control has been switched off the GCB setting of the control will open and then it will begin to cool down. To be sure that you don’t have an occurrence of a black busbar and to meet NFPA requirements make sure that the default settings within the control are set to start in automatic mode. 

Note that when operating your control that it under absolutely no circumstances can your easYgen model measure the voltage of the auxiliary alternator that will occur at the relay output.
