About the 8440-1860

The easYgen-2000 series manufactured by Woodward can be found at AX Control Inc in our new surplus or secondhand inventory. The control model 8440-1860 can be installed through a screw kit, when installing with a screw kit the unit must have holes drilled into it so it can be inserted into the panel cutout. 

When connecting the control there are a dozen wire sizes that can be used, if using a twenty-one AWG wire the square millimeter of the wire will be equal to that of .38. The wire used is just an example because many different wires can be used with all of the different controls. 

There are a dozen different parameter settings on the control, the three-phase, four-wire parameter (3Ph 4W) there are specific terminals that the generator windings should be assigned to. Some phases also belong to the terminals. Terminals fourteen, sixteen, eighteen, and twenty respectively align with phases L1, L2, L3, and N. The rated voltage when these terminals are wired will be in the range of 50-130 V but will specifically sit at 120 V. The maximum measuring range that will be read in the 3Ph 4W sits in the range of 0-150 Vac. Note that when using different voltage systems the wiring terminals on the system may likely have to be changed to currently measure voltage.
