The 8440-2080 control unit is manufactured by Woodward Inc. The unit is from the easYgen-2000 series. This specific control unit is a Genset control unit. When using this control you should take extreme caution with electrostatic discharge, to help with the electrostatic discharge you should wear an ESD band which will keep your body set to the ground potential to help with the discharge. 

The control has specific voltages that are used to have the control run at peak performance is the measuring voltage is reading at 120 V then the ground rated voltage phase it could read at 150 Vac. and the maximum voltage value should read somewhere between 86-150 Vac. Any of the ambient variables do not react or rely on the voltage of the control. The maximum elevation will read 2,000 m ASL, and the reverse voltage protection should be at full supply range. 

In regards to the service port interface, the interface should not be isolated, the proprietary interface should strictly only be connected with Woodward’s DPC cable. The battery that is connected should only be lithium and the life span of the battery should last about five years.
