About the 8440-1992

This genset control supports a range of features for the monitoring, control, and protection of multiple gensets. Part 8440-1992 is a 3200 model in the Woodward easYgen-3000 series. Like the other 3200 models, 8440-1992 is in plastic housing. This easYgen model has a 12/24 Vdc power supply. 8440-1992 is a P1 version. The P1 package has a maximum of 16 each external discrete inputs/outputs via CANopen.

Woodward easYgen 8440-1992 has a 5.7” LCD screen and touchpad for direct configuration and control of the unit and connected gensets. There are fourteen available languages including English, Polish, Russian, French, and Spanish. Access to some features is restricted through multi-level password protection (four access levels).

8440-1992 has a range of configurable set points. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Trip levels
  • Trip delays
  • Alarm classes (there are 10 configurable discrete alarm inputs)
  • Speed
  • Frequency
  • Auxiliary excitation
