This genset controller is model 8440-2064 in the easYgen-3000 series. It is one of the series models that has a display and soft key HMI (a multilingual interface) conveniently built into the unit. The housing of this genset control model is plastic. easYgen model 8440-2064 is intended for front panel mounting.

Model 8440-2064 is designed to serve a range of functions including control and load management for up to 32 connected gensets, as well as the engine, generator, and mains protection. Stop, Manual, and Automatic operating modes are supported with this model. Manual breaker control is possible with the correct configuration. The four application modes supported by this easYgen model are: Start/Stop, Open GCB, Open/Close GCB, and Open/Close GCB/MCB.

The easYgen 8440-2064 controller also performs a range of data management functions for the engine, mains, and generator. For engines, this includes data such as battery voltage, coolant temperature, service hours, and more. Generator and mains data includes current, power, voltage, kWh, kW, kvar, etc. Up to 300 events may be recorded with the controller’s event history log, which has a battery backup in case of power failure.

Functional status messages, including error codes and alarm statuses, are displayed on the operator interface LCD. Configuration menus are accessed through this interface, though they may be password protected to prevent unauthorized changes. Multi-level password protection is supported.
