About the 8440-2081

Genset control unit 8440-2081 is an easYgen-3000XT model. It is a 3100-type model controller with the Package 1 (P1) option. Like all 3100 easYgen models, this part is intended for the cabinet back mounting. It comes without a display and is enclosed in sheet metal housing.

This easYgen-3000 series control has a few updated features from the older models, including Ethernet connectivity, power measurement Class 1, and a drop-in replacement. More information on the updated features of this genset control can be found in the Woodward easYgen-3000XT manual 37582A.

Model 8440-2081 is designed for versatility, ready to connect to and control up to 32 gensets for a range of standard paralleling applications including Automatic Mains Failure (AMS) operation, peak shaving operation, stand-by operation, and more. This genset control unit has four operating modes and can be configured for manual breaker control.

The easYgen 8440-2081 model has customizable logic, which is compatible with both gas and diesel engines. This control unit can manage GCB and MCB synchronization (slipping/phase matching), import/export control (kW and kvar), load sharing, and much more.

This updated easYgen model has the same reliable protections as its predecessors. Generator load balance, power factor, and rotation field are all monitored, as are engine speed, frequency, excitation, and more.

The 8440-2081 model is the only easYgen-3100XT-P1 model in the EasyGen 3000 series, as such this model has very limited information on it. There is an attached manual which contains very limited information on the 3100XT model, if you require help feel free to contact us and we can do everything in our power to help you. - AX Control Tech Team
