About the 8440-2083

Part 8440-2083 may be found alternately labeled as an easYgen 3200XT-P1-LT. This is a genset control released in Woodward’s easYgen 3000XT series. As an LT model, 8440-2083 is one of the few available versions suitable for outdoor applications. This genset control unit is designed to safely operate in a -40 to 70 °C temperature range (the operating temp range of the standard 3200XT-P1 models is -20 to 70 °C). As with traditional 3200 models, 8440-2083 is available with a built-in HMI.

easYgen 8440-2083 offers the same control features as the non-LT versions. Multiple operating modes and load management functions are available, including a configuration option for manual breaker control. This genset control supports single-unit and multiple-unit operations for up to 32 units.

This easYgen control unit has configurable I/Os, both analog and discrete. The maximum of each is as follows:

• 16 external analog inputs (CANopen)
• 4 external analog outputs (CANopen)
• 2 analog outputs (+/- 10V, +/- 20mA, PWM)
• 3 analog inputs
• 32 each external discrete inputs/outputs (CANopen)
• 12 discrete outputs

8440-2083 provides a range of mains, engine, and generator protections. This includes protection against such conditions as a generator loan imbalance, engine over speed or under speed, or a generator instantaneous over current, to name a few.
