Part number 8440-2192 was released by Woodward in the easYgen-3000 series. This genset control unit is a 3500 P2 rental model, also referred to as easYgen-3500-5/P2-K32. Of the 3500-P2 K32 models, part 8440-2193 is the one with 5A CT inputs.

This model has numerous I/Os

• 23 discrete alarm and control I/Os (20 are configurable)
• Up to 22 configurable discrete outputs
• 16 each external discrete I/Os (via CANopen)
• 5 configurable analog outputs (+/- 10V, +/- 20mA, PWM)
• 10 configurable analog inputs

easYgen control unit 8440-2192 supports start/stop logic for both diesel and gas engines. It has an event recorder (up to 300 events, FIFO) that has a battery backup power supply, and counters for operating hours, periods of use, starts, and maintenance. This data is accessible through the controller’s built-in, multi-level password-protected operator interface. The HMI display consists of a color LCD and soft keys and supports several languages including English, French, Italian, and Japanese.

The 8440-2192 model offers the same engine-generator protection as the standard 3500 genset controls. Operations are monitored for overspeed/underspeed conditions, mismatch with the engine speed/frequency, issues with the mains rotation field, and more.
