About the EasyGen-3200-5-P2

easYgen-3200-5-P2 is a generator set controller in the easYgen-3000 series by Woodward. This model is a Package 2 version and includes a few features not present in the otherwise identical P1 model. These P2-specific features are three PID controllers (freely configurable), external analog inputs/outputs (via CANopen), and engine cylinder temperature monitoring. This P2 model also has a higher number of external discrete I/Os (CANopen) than the P1 models.

This Woodward genset controller model is designed for versatility. easYgen-3200-5-P2 has a built-in, multi-level password-protected operator interface that can be used to directly configure, control, and monitor a wide range of functions across up to 32 connected gensets (can also be done via PC using Woodward’s ToolKit software). This model has start/stop logic for both gas and diesel engines, as well as starts, operating hours, maintenance, and active/reactive energy counters. Up to 300 event entries (FIFO) are maintained by an event recorder that has a battery backup in case of power failure.

The versatility of this easYgen-3000 model extends to the applications in which it can be used. Suitable applications include peak shaving, stand-by, cogeneration, and import-export to name a few. easYgen-3200-5-P2 offers protection from a variety of engine, generator, and mains conditions such as:

• Generator load imbalance
• Engine overspeed or underspeed
• Generator and/or mains voltage/frequency issues
• D+ auxiliary excitation failure
