About the 8200-177
Woodward model 8200-177 EM Digital Driver uses advanced, model-based control algorithms within the provided Driver Interface Program (DIP) as the unit's main configuration tool.
The DIP allows the 8200-177 to link to your personal computer and shows real-time information for Run, Calibration, Alarms, Shutdowns, Tuning, and Configuration. For example, the displayed LEDs on the Alarms page indicate the current status of the alarms. If any LEDs are Red, then this indicates a fault status. Normal operation is shown by green LED's. Manual 26159 goes into much greater detail and can be found on our site above in the "Manuals" tab. The Driver Interface Program will be on the disk that came with an original purchase from the manufacturer and can be found on Woodward's website at https://www.woodward.com/en/support/software%20assets/service%20tool/2019/04/18/22/58/9927-700-c
Not only is this unit customizable through software, but through hardware features such as the two gland plates on the bottom of the unit next to the manufacturer label. The gland plates cover two rectangular openings that are each approximately 2 x 5 inches. These plates allow you ability to drill and cut personalized holes for appropriate wire connections. Woodward recommends that the wire feed-throughs be watertight in order to keep an IP56 seal rating. If all equipment is installed correctly then it is possible to pressure wash the 8200-177 for ease of cleaning!
A clear understanding of the function of the EM Driver 8200-177 is important for troubleshooting. Please read the installation manual to become familiar with the hardware prior to troubleshooting.
