About the 8256-012
Model 8256-013 is an actuator from Woodward that is best suited for use on prime movers. It is part of Woodward’s Electrically Powered Governor series and can be used with gasoline, diesel, or gas engines. The actuator uses counterclockwise rotation, as well as isochronous speed control and droop speed control. While these models are capable of withstanding high heat, they should be operated in temperatures that range from -40 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures that are too intense can be damaging to the product and the entire EPG system. Actuators are just one out of three parts of a complete EPG system.
Model 8256-013 will consume up to 60 watts of energy, and can be powered by either a 24-volt battery or a 12-volt battery. The actuator should be connected to the engine’s fuel control with a linear linkage. The product can be mounted directly to the engine which it is being operated with. These series of parts come standard with corrosive resistant material makes sure it will last as long as possible. Model 8256-013 weighs less than two pounds and is a compact product. Woodward has discontinued these actuators, but they are available through other sources. AX Control can sell, buy, and repair these models while offering a three-year warranty.
