A Woodward actuator driver is model 8290-153. This device only works with specific actuators. It is compatible with models 4024, 512, 514, 1724, and 1712. The product weighs around one pound and is designed with cast aluminum to be a long-last device. It can withstand high heat and can be mounted with any configuration. It should be near the actuator and battery to ensure proper installation. The system battery this device works with is 24 volts. It is compatible with two types of wires, 12 AWG and 14 AWG, and each one will have a different length requirement. The 14 AWG wiring has a maximum length of 35 feet, and the 12 AWG maximum length is 75 feet.
It should be kept at -40 to 75 degrees Celsius ambient temperature range. Model 8290-153 consumes a maximum of 95 watts of power. It has a volt supply range of 20 VDC to 32 VDC and uses a 5A battery charger. A ramp generator can also be installed for optional use.
