About the 5466-1035
Woodward model 5466-1035 was designed for the MicroNet series. The unit was designed to be used as a CPU5200, with a PowerPC Motorola MPC5200 processor. One primary feature of this unit is that it can be used in redundant or simplex modes. When the unit is used in redundant configurations there is a second CPU, the second CPU will be located in slot fourteen or eight depending on the chassis configuration used.
The 5466-1035 model has several features which include but are not limited to a general-use Ethernet port, one service port, sixty-four megabytes of flash memory, and a real-time clock. The real-time clock operates on a battery even when the controller is off, the battery cannot be replaced by the user. Unfortunately, there are not any Real-Time Network (RTN) ports available on this model meaning that this CPU will not support an expansion chassis operation. The CPU is not configured to be used in RTN mode, and the singular ethernet port will not be active.
According to the Product Change Notification Data Sheet 06960, the 5466-1035 is a non-preferred model. When a model is non-preferred it is not used for newer systems, but the model can be used for repairs and as a spare unit.
