About the 5466-1105

MicroNet Digital Controller 5466-1105 was produced by Woodward Incorporated out of Fort Collins, Colorado to act as a Speed/Analog I/O Combo. This specific unit is equipped with 4X 4-20 mA outputs, and 4X speed 12X I/V selectable inputs. As a combo module, this unit can be used in both MicroNet Plus and MicroNet Simplex configurations, both main and expansion. One of the main features of the 5466-1105 unit is that is equipped with an onboard processor, this onboard processor is primarily used for the automatic calibration of all of the input/output channels.

The analog inputs of this model, which are 4-20 mA can be used with two different types of transducers, these transducers are self-powered (isolated) transducers or loop-powered (two-wire underground) transducers. If the 5466-1105 model is being used with a device that is non-isolated it is recommended that a loop isolated be used to break any return current paths which have the potential to reach over two hundred volts of direct current.

According to the 26166V1 manual produced by Woodward for MicroNet Simplex and MicroNet Plus controllers the 5466-1105 unit is considered a High Accuracy controller which is primarily used with Gas Turbine markers. The unit will also use new GAP blocks that when used with a Gas Turbine require coder MicroNet 1.00 or later or when being used with a Steam Turbine requires coder 5.08 or later.

If you are using the 5466-1105 unit in a simplex system each Speed/Analog I/O combo module will be connected through one analog input FTM to one low-density analog to cable and one high-density analog cable to one twenty-four/eight analog FTM. If you have any questions regarding this model please refer to the three versions of the 26166 manuals, the 26166V1 manual is best used with this unit.
