About the 5466-1156
Model 5466-1156 is a Discrete Input Output Smart-Plus unit with forty-eight discrete inputs and twenty-four discrete outputs. This unit does not have any potentiometers and does not require calibration. One feature of this model is that there are two configuration modes, one configuration mode consists of one 48/25 discrete FM which connects to the 48/24 discrete combo module via two high-density analog discrete cables, and the FTM will be connected to either one thirty-two channel relay mode or two sixteen channel relay modules through a low-density discrete cable.
When it comes to the inputs of the 5466-1156 they will typically be optically isolated and can be accessed through the 24/12 discrete FTM or the 48/12 discrete FTM which depends on the configuration of the module. Another thing to note is that depending on the configuration of the module there are a number of different power sources. For example, if this module is in the second configuration it will have an external 18-32 VDC power source or an external 100-150 VDC power source for the circuit wetting voltage.
There are three types of relay output boxes that can be used with the 5466-1156 model, these boxes are:
No matter which module is being used it will connect to the 48/24 Discrete FTM through individual cables and can provide a common cage-clamp connection for customer field wiring. The outputs on the module are non-isolated, all isolation will take place in the relay boxes.
For more information on this module refer to the 26167V1 module or the 26166V1/26166V2 manuals. The 26167V1 module is used with the MicroNet TMR modules and the 26166 manuals are used with the MicroNet Simplex/MicroNet Plus modules.
