About the 5466-1510

MicroNet Digital Controller 5466-1510 was designed by Woodward Inc to be a CPU P1020. The CPU P1020 can be used in two system types, redundant or simplex. If being used in a simplex system it is typically one of the three standard CPUs that can be used. One unique feature of this unit is that it can be inserted or removed from the chassis while it is live. The main difference between using the module in simplex and redundant systems is that only in redundant systems will there be two CPUs, one in slot A1 and the second in slot A8 or A14 depending on the chosen chassis.

The P1020 CPU will be responsible for running the GAP application in the chassis. This module will perform a diagnostics test when power is applied to the 5466-1510 unit prior to running the GAP application. There are LED indicators on the front faceplate of the P1020 CPU, the LEDs are as follows, CAN #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, IOLOCK, FAULT, STANDBY, Ethernet, SYSCON, and STATUS.

There are several environmental specifications that are specific to the 5466-1510 module— for example the temperatures for operating and storing the device. The recommended temperature for storing this module is forty-five degrees Celsius (one-hundred thirteen degrees Fahrenheit) to optimize the battery life of the clock as well as backup data retention. The typical operating temperature, when used in the industrial marketplace, will range from zero to fifty-five degrees Celsius.

Unfortunately due to no longer being actively produced by Woodward, this module is slightly more difficult to find but here at AX Control, our sales team can do everything possible to help obtain the 5466-1510 module for any of your needs. One error that can occur during operation is an overtemperature, if this mode overheats it will not perform as needed and cause potential faults. For all temperature ranges refer to the 26166V1 manual. - AX Control Technician
