About the 5466-409
There are many CPU models that are in the MicroNet Digital Control Series, this specific model, the 5466-409, is a Pentium CPU. Typically models within the MicroNet series can operate in redundant or simplex mode, but this module can only operate in a simplex system, when installed it will be in the expansion rack of the chassis. When the Pentium CPU is in the expansion rack it must be used with a Main Transceiver (XCVR) and Remote XCVR.
A primary feature of the 5466-409 module when being used as a single CPU unit is that it has the capability for high processing through the dual RS-232 serial ports as well as the singular Ethernet port. The model also has specific operating temperature limits, these limits are zero to fifty degrees Celsius, and anything different from these limits can cause operating errors and malfunctions. The typical service tool used with this module is the AppManager Service Tool which is used to start and load the application over the attached Ethernet.
According to the 26166 manuals, specifically the 26166V1 manual the Pentium CPU, or the 5466-409 module, is considered obsolete due to being discontinued by Woodward Inc. While this is mostly true this module can be found available on the market.
