Model 5466-411 as part of the MicroNet Digital Control Series is a 10BaseT RJ45 Ethernet connector. The model was designed by Woodward Incorporated. There are a number of different features that this connector is used for, some of these features are as follows: 

• Networking of Multiple Controls

• Data Gathering

• Control Configuration

The above uses are important for the proper function of the connected MicroNet devices. Along with the previously mentioned functions this module will also be completely relied upon for interfacing IP/TCP Distributed input-output devices within the control system. 

When using this connector, the 5466-411 model must also be used with an Ethernet Field Termination Module (FTM) to guarantee robust operation as well as signal integrity of Ethernet devices. Not only does the Ethernet FTM need to be used with double-shield Ethernet candles or SSTPs are required to guarantee that the device will function properly. 

The 5466-411 module is also used to help provide communication between the main chassis CPU modules and the expansion chassis remote real-time network modules. This connector allows for input-output data from the expansion chassis to help run the GAP applications in the main chassis CPUs.
