About the 5466-416
MicroNet Digital Controller module 5466-416 is a Pentium CPU. This specific Pentium CPU is furnished with a Dual Ethernet option that runs the Graphical Application Programming (GAP) within the chosen MicroNet chassis. Please note that when the module has been installed it will be installed in the expansion rack of a simplex system. This module also has a solid-state hard-drive located on the module which uses a standard Windows filing system. The hard drive which has a Windows NT operating system also has an Application program and real-time extensions.
One important thing to note when installing the 5466-416 module is that under no circumstances should you unplug or plug any non-isolated device straight into the CPU while the application is being executed. This CPU does have the capability to be inserted live but monitors, mice, or keyboards should not be unplugged or plugged into the CPU when the GAP application is running.
The 5466-416 module must be configured so a second auto-switching 10-100 Base-TX RJ45 connector can be provided. Sometimes an RS-232 Db9mf filter is needed when being used with some CPUs within the MicroNet system, the Pentium processor does not need this filter.
While using this module the best manual to find information on the Pentium CPU is the 26166 manual, there are three versions of the 26166 manual. Manual 26166V3 provides the most information on the Pentium CPU.
