About the 5466-5001
The 5466-5001 module designed by Woodward Inc is a Speed Sensor, specifically this speed sensor is designed as an Eddy input device. One of the key features of this sensor is that there are no potentiometers and thus will not require adjustments or calibration when the module is being inserted into the chosen chassis. This module can be used in a redundant or a simplex system. As this module is an Eddy probe/input device it can be used to sense extremely low speeds, speeds all the way down to one Hertz can be detected by modules with an Eddy probe such as this one.
When the 5466-5001 module has been inserted into the chosen chassis it will slide into one of the card guides and will connect to the motherboard of the chassis. No matter which software configuration has been set the speed input channel on the device has only one Eddy prove can be accepted. Please note that whichever speed sensor input channel has been wired the unused proximity probe/MPU must be jumpered at the field transition module (FTM).
There are some potential faults that could occur on the 5466-5001 module, to troubleshoot the device verify some of the following; check the software configuration to ensure that the input is properly configured, measure the input voltage of the terminal block - the appropriate voltage should be in the range of three and a half to twenty-four volts. Once these have been checked or the module has been replaced yet the problem has not been resolved replace the FTM.
