About the 5466-5026
The 5466-5026 module is a 24/8 High-Density Analog I/O, it will only operate in a simplex system. This module is backward compatible and can be used with part number 5466-332. This unit will be installed in the card guide of the chosen chassis and will plug into the motherboard and will connect through two high-density cables to up to two field transition modules. Any and all inputs and outputs will be obtainable on the FTM, the channels are also specifically labeled so they can be used to correspond to their specific software locations.
There are three different types of configurations available to be used with the 5466-5026 module. If you wish to use all of the 4-20 mA inputs the module should be set to the second configuration; when in the second configuration all of the inputs can be used with the Dataforth input plugin. This feature allows voltages to be blocked and the factory voltage calibrations with a 200 Ohm resistor.
There are a number of LEDs on the front panel of the 5466-5026 board that will indicate faults based on the number of flashes. A few examples of this are if the LED flashes three times a failure of the flash memory has occurred; if there are thirteen flashes a parameter or configuration error has occurred. When these errors occur examine the chassis’s installed CPU, if a failure has occurred then it is likely that the CPU has failed. Check to make sure that the CPU has been installed correctly and if things are installed correctly it is likely that the module will need to be replaced.
