About the 5466-5027
The Simplex High-Density Analog I/O Dataforth module 5466-5027 is part of the MicroNet Digital Control Series produced by Woodward Inc out of Fort Collins, Colorado. There are specifications that are used with this module when it pertains to both the input and output rating. For example, there is a .1% between the accuracies of the input and output ratings which both operate on 0-25 mA at full scale, the input software is calibrated at 0.1% and the output software is calibrated at 0.2%.
Model 5466-50027 is compatible to be used backward when being used backward this unit must be used with part number 5466-425. It should be noted that great care should be taken to prevent ground loops and other faults when interfacing with non-isolated devices. The LED on the front faceplate of the module has the capability to indicate up to nineteen different failures, these failures are indicated by the number of flashes on the LED. For example, if the LED flashes up to ten times it suggests that the RAM memory has failed, and if the LED flashes up to twenty-two times it indicates that the AO DAC has timed out.
There are two previous versions of the High-Density Analog I/O, the difference between the previous two and the 5466-5027 module is the application software, this module has Dataforth software while the previous modules do not.
