About the 5501-381
The 5501-381 board was manufactured by Woodward Inc as part of the MicroNet Digital Control series. This board is another one of the main triple modular redundant (TMR) power supply boards that operate on two hundred and twenty volts of alternating current. This board has specifications that are required to operate this module without any errors or faults occurring, one of which is the maximum input power which is 1250 VA. This board also has a specific input breaker/power fuse breaking which differs from the other TMR power supply boards, this will be a 10 A time delay.
The location of the 5501-381 board will be in the MicroNet TMR main control power supply chassis which can hold up to two TMR supply boards but when being used together they must be in two separate chassis but connected through ribbon cabling. One primary feature of this board is that it can be replaced hot, being replaced hot means that the control chassis does not have to cease operation when the 5501-381 board is being removed.
On the front faceplate of the 5501-381 board, there are four LEDs, these four LEDs are as follows input fault, power supply fault, overtemperature, and OK LED. The only green indicator on the board is the OK LED which is turned on to indicate that the power supply is running as needed and no errors or faults have occurred.
For all information regarding the 5501-381 board please refer to the 26166V2 manual which describes this board or the 26167V1 manual which gives more in-depth information on the function of this board.
