About the 5501-410
The Power Supply Board 5501-410 is part of the MicroNet Digital Control Series, this board was manufactured by Woodward Inc to operate on an input voltage of 24 VDC. This board can be used in MicroNet Plus or MicroNet Simplex chassis as well as redundant or simplex systems. This module has required specifications that are needed when operating this board, some of these are as follows:
-
Maximum Input Current: 33 A
-
Maximum Output Current (5 VDC): 32 A @ 55 °C, 28 A @ 60 °C, and 22.0 A @ 65 °C
-
Operating Range: 18-36 VDC
-
Maximum Input Power: 600 W
All of these specifications are vital in ensuring that the board performs without any faults. If faults do occur be sure that all of these specifications have not been surpassed.
When the 5501-410 board has been inserted into the chosen chassis it will only occupy three slots of the chassis. As one of the main power supply boards, there are four LEDs on the front faceplate which are used to indicate the health of the power supply. The LEDs are an OK LED, a power supply fault LED, an overtemperature LED, and an input fault LED. The OK LED is the only green LED on the faceplate which indicates that there are no faults and the health of the device is functioning properly.
There are two versions of the 26166 manual that can be used with the 5501-410 board. The 26166V1 manual goes into detail about the power supply board with its specifications, while the 26166V2 manual has a basic extended description of the board.
