About the 5501-412
The 5501-412 board is one of the last Power Supply Boards that operate on a voltage of two hundred twenty volts of alternating current and is considered a high-voltage model. The model was produced by Woodward and is part of the MicroNet Digital Control series.
When the board has been inserted into the MicroNet Simplex or MicroNet Plus chassis it will only take up three chassis slots. When the board is being used with redundant power supplies the currents will share circuitry that will balance the loads to help reduce heat, when the heat has been reduced will also help improve the reliability of the conjoined power supplies.
When the 5501-412 board is inserted into the chosen chassis please ensure that there is a ground detector that will allow for safety. The terminal used when grounding the power supply should also be connected to the earth to allow for the grounding of power supply printed circuit boards.
In the 26166V1 manual, the 5501-412 board is not directly mentioned but information is provided on page forty-three that details specifications when being used in redundant systems of input currents and power, output currents, holdup time, and others.
The 5501-412 board has a status that is considered inactive by Woodward in the 26166V2 manual. While the board is considered inactive it is still used with the MicroNet Digital Control Series.
