About the 5501-467
The Woodward 5501-467 Simplex Power Board operates on an input voltage of two hundred and twenty volts of alternating current or direct current. The board can be inserted into a MicroNet Simplex or MicroNet Plus chassis but can only operate in a simplex system. One key feature of this board is that when in the MicroNet Simplex chassis it is considered high voltage in both alternating and direct currents.
When being used in both the Plus and Simplex chassis there are specifications for the alternating and direct current. There are differences between the alternating current in the Simplex and Plus chassis, for example, the maximum input power in the Plus chassis is 1250 VA and in the Simplex chassis 1062 VA. The two alternating currents also differ in the maximum input current, the simplex chassis current is 5.9 A and 6.7 A for the plus chassis.
On the front faceplate of the 5501-467 board, there are four LED indicators that are used for power supply health indicators, the four LEDs are an OK LED, input fault, power supply fault, and overtemperature fault. The power supply fault LED is used to indicate that one of the board's four power converters has shut down. You can check for a short circuit and remove it in an attempt to start a normal operation again. If after the shorted circuit has been removed but the board has not commenced normal operation the supply must be replaced.
The 5501-467 board has specific wiring requirements, the wiring size for this module is a fourteen American wire gauge or two and a half millimeters squared. Please advise that the wires must be rated for sixty degrees Celsius.
