Introduction
The 9905-860 is a Peak 150 steam turbine digital control from Woodward. This unit is meant to serve as a compact, budget control with sought-after features such as Modbus connectivity and a NEMA 4 enclosure. This allows the 9905-860 to communicate with other industrial systems such as compatible PLCs while also being protected from water and dust ingress. This unit is meant for use with single-valve rack or single-valve steam turbines. This is the 24VDC version of this model.
Functionality
The 9905-860 has a speed display with 5 LED-lit digits. The 9905-860 also has 6 LED status indicators for various parts and functions within the system. These indicate the status of aspects like the remote speed setting signal, shutdown, MPUs 1 and 2, CPU, and overspeed test. There are 6 keypad switches on the front panel. These switches perform the functions of raising/lowering speed, start, emergency trip, alarm reset, and overspeed testing. Setting up this unit is done via a handheld programmer unit to help avoid unwanted changes being made to your system.
