The 9905-867 is a steam turbine digital control from Woodward's Peak 150 series. This model is equipped with an AC/DC power supply and a NEMA 4X rated enclosure. The 9905-867 also has Modbus communications capabilities, which allow it to communicate with other compatible industrial units such as PLCs. This unit is designed to work with single-valve or single-valve rack steam turbines. Compared with other digital controls for steam turbines, the 9905-867 is lower-cost and more compact.

Control Features

The front panel of the 9905-867 displays a ton of useful information and helpful controls. The operator can control things such as RPM and reset the alarm while also viewing the status of parts such as the MPUs and CPU. There are also several safety features such as the overspeed trip test and emergency trip buttons on the front panel. This model has an input to allow for a 4-20mA remote speed control signal to be used in controlling the speed setting. The 9905-867 has a series-standard 12MHz, 16-bit microprocessor and can support dual speed control dynamics.

Environmental Information

The NEMA 4X rating of the 9905-867 allows it to operate even in corrosive environments. This level of protection also makes the 9905-867 water and dust-tight. The 9905-867 should be in areas where the surrounding air temperature does not exceed the range of -25 to +60 degrees Celsius during operation or -40 to +85 degrees Celsius when in storage.
