About the 9903-003
Woodward Model 9903-003 is an Electronic Generator Amplifier Controller. The specific units we have in stock are fully encased with refurbished aluminum sheet metal. Coming in at 16 lbs 6 oz with external dimensions of 7.75W(in) x 4.75H(in) x 10.25D(in), or 19.685W(cm) x 12.065H(cm) x 26.035D(cm), the 9903-003 controller is an incredibly dense, rugged, and durable drive that matches current industry standards and has stood the tests of time.
This device does not come with any Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors.
Tunable Stability, Amp Gain, Droop, and Load Gain factors along with an input current rating of 120VAC @ 50/60HZ allows users to control larger Woodward systems with relative ease. These four settings can be adjusted via a turnable screw under the through-holes on the top face plate of the unit.
Stability controls the voltage under variable or spiking/lowering conditions. A stability set too low will result in the voltage of the generator fluctuating up and down, whereas a too-high stability setting will result in a slower voltage response. The Gain of the Amplifier (or Amp Gain) is the difference between the input and output signals. Droop allows synchronous generators to run in parallel so that loads are shared among generators with the same droop curve in proportion to their power rating. Load Gain can be calculated by determining or measuring the input and output voltages when there is no load connected to the 9903-003 output.
